Dry climate with cold winters and mild summers and a favorable fluctuation between night and day.
Deep loamy sand soil from alluvial origin, mostly composed by limestone sediments, rich in calcium carbonate and chalk. Excellent drainage.
Standard vertical trellis system. Drip irrigation system filled with underground water extracted from 180 meters (600 ft) below the surface.
